Scrapbooking Borders You’re going to love this one! layout10 Instructions: • cut scrap paper or fabric into small pieces • cut strips of matching, or contrasting coloured ribbon, or scrapbooking paper (enough for a page border) • apply acid free glue generously to the ribbon/paper • affix a mix of paper or fabric pieces either randomly or in a pattern onto the glue (you will want to use a glue that dries clear) • trim edges with scissors to make sure the border is smooth • use your mosaic around photos or along the sides or bottom of your layout pages, as you would with any other border • can also be used to create your own matching tags or embellishments No one else will have this particular pattern – because you have created your own custom look.  PLUS it didn’t cost you a dime! Add a 3D Effect to Paper Embellishments Using Fabric: Let’s kick it up a notch!  Match the colour and shape of some scrap fabric to select areas of a magazine picture (see how to create an embellishment using magazine cutouts) , or any type of paper embellishment that has been made acid and lignin free, then apply the fabric pieces with glue to these areas.  This will create a wonderful 3D effect.  For example, you could add curtains to a window.
