Thanksgiving Day is a time for giving thanks for the harvest and for celebrating our abundance with family and friends. Thanksgiving is said to have a long history going back to the 1600’s in the United States. Although it may have begun as a religious festival, it has now become both a religious and secular celebration. Today the emphasis is on the traditional Thanksgiving Dinner or feast and there are definitely traditional foods which are associated with it. As with any other family get together, Thanksgiving Day is a wonderful opportunity to have fun together and of course there will be lots of photos to mark the occasion.
